Beyond the checklist: from compliance to culture – the LES relational framework for evaluating sustainability in film, TV & media production
The paper introduces the Lifestyle-Embedded Sustainability (LES) model as a holistic framework that evaluates sustainability both as a technical outcome and as a cultural process expressed across production, content, lifestyle, and distribution. Experimental short shot in the Philippines using the Insta 360 camera. The objective was to explore 360 degree footage and how to direct the viewers gaze in a single take.
IKARUS 2023
This is an experimental short film where I am exploring how opposites can be the same, memories and the self. Ikarus won best experimental short film at the 2023 Poetic Lens Short Film Festival, Eugene, Oregon.
With ‘Not the usual travel video about the Philippines’ I wanted to dive deep into poetic documentary production to show how I feel when visting Manila and the Philippines, contrasting my experiences with life in the Netherlands.

Guirilandia (2021)
An alien assimilates in Spain during the pandemic. This short film explores how a ‘Guiri’, a tourist or foreigner living in Spain, experiences the summer of 2021. In this film I wanted to explore a narrative that is driven by the sound scape and pacing rather than the spoken word.
Escape Velocity (2020)
This is an experimental film exploring the voidness of reality. Escape Velocity invites the viewer to enter a trance like state. Framing directs the gaze towards the centre of the corridor, until the repetitive and illusionary nature of reality is revealed. In this piece I wanted to play with the way soundscapes can induce a state of trance.
